The TX1 MicroTip has a 25.4 mm (1 inch) working length, 19 gauge inner lumen (1.1 mm OD), and 11 gauge sheath (3.0 mm max OD), designed for soft tissue only. It connects to the TX console handpiece and uses ultrasound at 26.5 kHz to fragment, emulsify, and aspirate scarred tendon while sparing healthy tissue, guided by real-time ultrasound imaging.
Key Features
- Tissue selectivity: Removes diseased tendon (100% baseline volume per stroke) without thermal damage to surrounding structures.
- Procedure: Outpatient, local anesthesia, 15-20 minutes; irrigation with saline cools tip and flushes debris.
- Indications: Elbow (tennis elbow), Achilles, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff, knee, hip tendons; FDA-cleared Class II device.
